About Heather
Heather Short, a proud native of Chico, California, brings a wealth of diverse experiences to JS Downey Insurance Service. In 2005, Heather graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Psychology, instilling in her a deep commitment to excellence and understanding human behavior.
Her career journey includes serving as a police officer in Redding, CA from 2006 to 2012, where she learned the values of dedication and responsibility. Heather's insurance career began while at Davis when she worked as a Customer Service Representative for an Allstate agent.
In 2012, she joined her father's legacy as a License Sales Representative for his 30-year Allstate agency. Following her father's passing in 2015, Heather took over the agency, ensuring his dedication lived on. In October 2022, Heather sold her agency and embarked on a new chapter, eventually settling in San Diego in February of the following year.
